In ligth of all the attention that the Packers have received in the last month over the Brett Favre issue, I feel it is warranted to talk about them post Favre.
It was shocking to see the standing ovation at Lambeau Field when the Green Bay offense took the field for the 1st time in 2008. Aaron Rodgers was a little edgy at times, but overall held his composure. What I am most intrigued by is the play of the WR's along with Rodgers.
After last night, you can clearly see that they have spent a lot of time in the film room, and probably weight room. These receivers were in the right places at the right time most of the time, but the tenacity they possessed after the catch was something to appreciate, and crave for from an ex-offensive linemen's perspective.
After a glimpse of the Packers' offense last night, they should be considered a team to be reckoned with, especially the Quarterback/Wide Receiver relationship. James Jones' helmet gets detached from his body, Donald Driver gives a bull dosing shoulder to the safety and does not lose his feet.
Tenacity! They are a force being created!
